Kelly and Cory’s Wedding

I had the pleasure of being a part of Kelly Sivertson and Cory Parson’s wedding this past Saturday, May 9. The wedding took place at Centenary United Methodist Church in Winston-Salem, NC with the reception following at Reynolda Hall’s Magnolia room on the Wake Forest University Campus. Once again, we had another rainy Saturday, but luckily we were still able to get outside and do some portraits (and look at how green that grass was on the lawn after the rain!).  Pam from Snyder Photo was there doing videography for the event. On a little side note, I did hear recently that it’s scientifically more likely to rain on a Saturday due to the pollution that is put in the air by traffic during the week! Pretty interesting, huh? Learn more about it here (I first heard this on NPR).

Back to the wedding!! This wedding party (most of whom have PhD and Masters Degrees) really knew how to get down and dirty on the dance floor! Including a very funny version of the Hokie Pokie dedicated to the Virginia Tech Hokies of the crowd (Kelly is an alum). Cory, however, is a diehard Tarheel! He proposed to Kelly at the Old Well on campus in July (Kelly currently works on UNC campus). And yes, the couple was also on Franklin Street in March for the NCAA championship game!  Here are a few photo highlights from Saturday!
