Saturday, Jan. 22, I traveled down to the Eastern part of the state to the “pickle capital” of Mt. Olive, NC where I joined friends and family to celebrate the wedding of Meredith Smith and Chad Britt. Meredith and Chad are a fantastic couple and I was lucky enough to spend some time with them in New Orleans last year during Mardi Gras! When I met them together, I knew that an engagement and a wedding wasn’t too far off in their future. They are just so cute and so very much in love!
When I left the party Saturday night, I heard “They Love Each Other” by the Grateful Dead on the radio and I thought the lyrics really rang true for Chad and Meredith (Both of whom are Grateful Dead fans themselves). Here’s a few of those lyrics:
“Got it from the top, it’s nothing you can stop,
Lord, you know they made a fine connection.
They love each other, Lord you can see that it’s true,
Lord you can see that it’s true, Lord you can see that it’s true.
He could pass his time, around some other line
But you know he chose this place beside her.
Don’t get in their way, there’s nothing you can say,
Nothing that you need to add or do.
They love each other, Lord you can see that it’s true,
Lord you can see that it’s true, Lord you can see that it’s true.”
Here are a few highlights from Chad and Meredith’s Big day:
I found this fortune sitting in the bride’s room while everyone was getting ready!! (above)
Meredith’s necklace was her “something borrowed” from her grandmother (above).
I loved that each of Meredith’s Bridesmaids bouquets had it’s own unique charm on it (above).
Too Cute!!!
Meredith and Chad, thanks so much for allowing me to be a part of your big day!!!
