2011 is officially over and I’m gearing up and getting excited about 2012. Last year, I pulled together a few of my favorite moments/images of 2010 and I wanted to do that again for 2011. I really had a hard time picking this year because it’s truly been a fantastic year for Whitmeyer Photography. I reunited with a lot of old friends and celebrated with them this year. I’ve been calling 2011 the “year of the friends’ weddings” because a large number of my clients this year were actually friends. This is one of the reasons that I LOVE my job. I get to celebrate the important stuff with great people. I am constantly surrounded by love and happiness and I couldn’t possibly feel more blessed.

The photos above and below both won awards from the WPJA this past year. The WPJA is international and contests are pretty competitive so I’m always thrilled when my images place. So far, I’ve had 7 images place over my 5 years as a member.

This year, I gave couples a collection of polaroids at the end of the wedding day of different moments though out the day. This was something that just came out of my love of polaroids and desire to have something to give couples instantly. I plan on continuing this through 2012!
We had some really hot (above) and really wet (below) days this year. Crazy enough, these images were both from the same wedding!
This year, we learned how to “duggy” 🙂

This fall saw the first run of Whitmeyer Photography’s new Photobooth, POSERS! More on the blog to come soon about the photobooth, but I’m really excited about this new endeavor!
