Welcome to my blog!

My love of photography and story-telling began as early as my first photography class in the 8th Grade (Thanks Mr. Hubbard!). I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2005 with a BA in Photojournalism and have since been working as a photographer in the beautiful city of Asheville, NC. I specialize in photojournalistic wedding coverage and have been an award-winning member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) since 2008.

True to my journalism training, I like to capture the energy and emotions during a wedding day. I am drawn to classic images that tell a story and those that show the love between two people whether it's a father and his daughter, life-long friends, or two people in love. I am inspired by weddings because I see these love-filled moments everywhere I turn my head.

Anthony and Celeste in Mills River, NC

Sunday, July 3, I had the pleasure of being a part of the wedding of Celeste Johnson and Anthony Downs in Mills River, NC. The ceremony took place at the Calvary Fellowship Church with the reception at the High Vista Country Club. Anthony and Celeste are a sweet couple who obviously care deeply about each other. There were a lot of sweet tears on their wedding day and a lot of love and hugs!

Congrats to you both and I hope you have a fantastically happy life together! Here are some highlights from their wedding day:
