Stepfanie and Sam Elope in Downtown Asheville

These are two very special people indeed. I know first hand that they are the type of friends you can call on when you need someone so sharing this special (and relatively secret) elopement day with them was a true joy. We made something already well-established (their love for each other) official by going down the to courthouse and having the simplest of ceremonies, taking some fun photos around town and finishing up with some wine with friends! To many years of happiness to my good friends in their new life together!

As far as courthouse weddings go, you really can’t beat the Asheville Courthouse as a place to elope. Yes, they are doing some pretty extensive construction right now, but it’s a beautiful old building with a lot of character in the heart of downtown.

A quick stop by 5 Walnut Wine Bar for a celebratory drink! (yes the forth glass is for me!)

So happy for these two and beyond proud to call them my friends!!!

These shots really came out excellently Sarah! Downtown Asheville really has everything that you could be looking for to set this type of romantic scene. Stepfanie and Sam seem like a great couple, and I am sure they must be a lot of fun to shoot with. Also have to applaud your taste in places to go for a celebratory glass of wine. We are really big fans of the 5 Wine Walnut Bar at the Windsor.
