Macy and Kilian at Duke Chapel

This is a very special blog post for me because the bride, Macy, is one of my very best friends and I love Macy and her family dearly. Documenting her wedding day was a bit surreal, but very rewarding. I teamed up with associate photographer, Rachael Hyde, to photograph this wedding day. My favorite part of the day was seeing Kilian’s face when he saw her in her dress for the first time. I could see the love in his eyes and I knew my friend had made a good decision to share her life with him. Macy and Kilian were married on July 19 at the Duke Chapel in Durham. Such a beautiful day and celebration for two truly good people. Here are some highlights from this special day:

There’s that look I was talking about (below) 🙂

Some super sweet post-ceremony moments

Reception was at Bay 7 at the American Tobacco Campus in Durham. Catering by Angus Barn. I loved the tomato bar (below), what a unique touch.

Confetti was thrown on the dance floor at the end of the night and Kilian was inspired to make a confetti angel (above)!

So much love to my friend, Macy and her new husband, Kilian! I wish you nothing but happiness and more good times to come in all your future endeavors. A huge thanks to my second photographer, Rachael Hyde, who did a fabulous job as always. We make a fantastic team, Rachael! 🙂
