Welcome to my blog!

My love of photography and story-telling began as early as my first photography class in the 8th Grade (Thanks Mr. Hubbard!). I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2005 with a BA in Photojournalism and have since been working as a photographer in the beautiful city of Asheville, NC. I specialize in photojournalistic wedding coverage and have been an award-winning member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) since 2008.

True to my journalism training, I like to capture the energy and emotions during a wedding day. I am drawn to classic images that tell a story and those that show the love between two people whether it's a father and his daughter, life-long friends, or two people in love. I am inspired by weddings because I see these love-filled moments everywhere I turn my head.

Will and Michelle at the Museum of Life and Science

What a sweet wedding day for Will and Michelle on April 30 at the Museum of Life and Science in Durham, NC. I’ve known Will since college when we could be found on the front row of any Umphrey’s McGee concert nearby! Tens years later, I was beyond honored to witness him take vows to an amazing, beautiful, and joyful woman on this perfect Spring day. Big Congrats to Will and Michelle!
