Welcome to my blog!

My love of photography and story-telling began as early as my first photography class in the 8th Grade (Thanks Mr. Hubbard!). I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2005 with a BA in Photojournalism and have since been working as a photographer in the beautiful city of Asheville, NC. I specialize in photojournalistic wedding coverage and have been an award-winning member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) since 2008.

True to my journalism training, I like to capture the energy and emotions during a wedding day. I am drawn to classic images that tell a story and those that show the love between two people whether it's a father and his daughter, life-long friends, or two people in love. I am inspired by weddings because I see these love-filled moments everywhere I turn my head.

Amy and Kevin-Lauren Carroll

Hi! Associate, Lauren Carroll Here. Two weeks ago (Labor Day weekend), I had the pleasure of photographing Amy and Kevin’s Gorgeous wedding at the Georgia Southern Botanical Garden in Statesboro, GA. I met Amy and Kevin in photojournalism class at UGA, even before they fell in love! I witnessed their courtship back then (which involved a lot of kindergarten-style flirting) and I’m so thrilled that I was able to be a part of their wedding as well. To be honest, they still flirt like children, which is fabulous! They are so loving towards one another and after spending time with their families, I can see exactly where they learned to be so caring!

Below are some photo highlights from the big day. The weather was perfect, the garden was beautiful and the party was hoppin’! All in all, a fantastic day!
