Erin, Here! Andrey and Inna are a beautiful couple and I was lucky enough to photograph them on their wedding day on Saturday, April 14th. This was a really interesting wedding for me because Inna is Moldovian and Andrey is Russian so the ceremony was very traditional and spoken in Russian. Not only did I get to photograph their happy union, but I got to learn more about the customs and traditions of their culture. Hundreds of family, friends and members of their church gathered for their ceremony and the reception where everyone feasted on delicious fresh foods, sang songs and played games. It was a real treat for me and I thank Andrey and Inna for their grace.
I met up with Inna in the morning where she was getting her long hair curled. After she put on her dress and was ready, Andrey arrived and they had their first look. It was such a sweet moment. From there we went to the Grove Park Inn for some group photos.
The ceremony was held at the Slavic Pentecostal Church in Leicester. Even though I don’t speak a lick of Russian, it was easy to understand the big moments during the ceremony. There was such an outpouring of love from the parents.
After taking some more pictures, we headed to the reception where the wedding party made a grand entrance. The room was packed with hundreds of people- old and young, families and couples. All of them seemed to be smiling and genuinely have a good time.
