Whew, what a crazy whirlwind of a month it’s been for Whitmeyer Photography! I’m guessing the busiest month in my 6 years of wedding photography!! I just returned home to Asheville from almost three months of traveling and lots of beautiful weddings. Ending the long list of weddings that are yet to be posted on the blog (but I have a few weekends free coming up so it’s catch up time!!) is the wedding of Lauren Rickman and Travis Leager at White Memorial Church in Raleigh this past weekend (July 7) with the reception at Raleigh Country Club. Lauren and I go all the way back to our days at Daniels Middle School and I even lived with her our sophomore year of College at UNC. She’s a great friend, very laid-back and just all around good company! It made me SO happy to spend her wedding day with her and provide her and Travis with lasting memories of their special day with friends/family.
A couple of weeks before the big day, during the beginning of my 3 weeks of traveling, we shot these bridal portraits in Raleigh (Raleigh Rose Garden and Fred Fletcher Park). Isn’t she just stunning?!?! I’m so lucky to have a job that allows me a sneak peek at my old friends in their wedding gowns!!
