Welcome to my blog!

My love of photography and story-telling began as early as my first photography class in the 8th Grade (Thanks Mr. Hubbard!). I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2005 with a BA in Photojournalism and have since been working as a photographer in the beautiful city of Asheville, NC. I specialize in photojournalistic wedding coverage and have been an award-winning member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) since 2008.

True to my journalism training, I like to capture the energy and emotions during a wedding day. I am drawn to classic images that tell a story and those that show the love between two people whether it's a father and his daughter, life-long friends, or two people in love. I am inspired by weddings because I see these love-filled moments everywhere I turn my head.

Leslie and Pax: Engaged!

I absolutely adore this couple! They are quirky, funny and sweet and obviously very much in love. I clicked with this couple right from our very first meeting. I’ve never seen a couple smile so much!! It makes me so happy to see!! Leslie and Pax are getting married at the brand new Yesterday Spaces right outside of Asheville September 29 of this year and I am really looking forward to being a part of the celebration!
