Lisa and Jonathan at Claxton Farms

I am thrilled to share some photos from Lisa and Jonathan’s Claxton Farm wedding which took place on July 1. Asheville Event Company did a superb job putting the event together. It was one of the hottest weekends of the summer, but it cooled down for long enough for Lisa and Jonathan to have a beautiful outdoor ceremony in front of the blue ridge mountains. They were surrounded by so much love from their friends and family, it was truly touching. Jonathan is a teacher and I loved how many of the details from their wedding day were classroom related like the chalkboard signs and guests arriving on school busses. The wedding weekend started with the rehearsal downtown and rehearsal dinner at Packs Tavern, scroll down to see more from their wedding weekend.

After the rehearsal dinner at Pack’s Tavern, Lisa, Jonathan and I had some fun taking photos amidst the chaos of Shindig on the Green (bluegrass concert) going on right outside of the tavern (below). These lovebirds were serenaded with their own rendition of Rocky Top 🙂

Cut to the wedding day (below) that started with preps at The Secret Spa. Wendy Balance did a great job on the girls’ make up.

Lisa’s father sees her in her wedding dress for the first time 🙂

I loved that the guests arrived in school busses 🙂 (below)

I love these shots that my assistant, Emily, got of Lisa and her father before they walked down the aisle 🙂

On a hot day like this, the best man’s primary duty of the day was to keep the sweat rag handy! 🙂

This was adorable when Jonathan’s son Tyler ducked during the ring hand off  (above)

Tyler had all his fingers crossed 🙂 (above)

This is a happy bride and groom!!!

I got up on a ladder for this one (Above) of all the guests

Such a cute first dance to “Stuck on You” by Lionel Richie. Jonathan also had his ring engraved with the phrase “stuck on you since 1994”

One of the sweetest mother-son dances I’ve ever seen!

Split Second Sound did a great job keeping everyone dancing!

At one point in the night, Lisa decided to lead the congo line outside and the party continued there! 🙂 (below)

A sparkler send off ended a fantastic weekend! Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Barrow! I wish you a lifetime full of moments like this. A big thanks to my assistant, Emily (below seen taking polaroids of the couple) who did a fantastic job as always! Thanks Emily!
