On Friday, Sept. 7, I gathered in front of the courthouse in downtown Asheville, by the beautiful magnolia tree with Robin and Bruce and their friends and family for a heart-felt, intimate wedding ceremony. Its these stripped-down and simple expressions of love that touch me more than anything else. A few years ago, I met Bruce’s son, Nate, and my best friend, Cynthia, in this very same spot for their wedding ceremony. This day, I witnessed their son (my godson) as the ring-bearer! This is a special spot in Asheville and is becoming more and more special with all these fantastic memories that are being created there! Here are a few highlights from Bruce and Robin’s elopement:
Robin’s beautiful daughter, Lucy (above and below). Lucy also helps Whitmeyer Photography with our photobooth and does a fabulous job.
I’m really falling in love with this magnolia tree (below). Do you think it’s a coincidence that it looks like two trees hugging? I don’t either…. 😉
