Alexis and Nick at Camp Highlander

I’m so thrilled to be sharing these photos with you from Alexis and Nick’s wedding which took place on Sept. 2 at Camp Highlander in Mills River, NC. It was such a fantastic weekend overall. The couple decided to get married at the camp so that all their friends and family could stay there for the weekend and participate in camp activities like water-slides, archery, “the blob”, climbing, frisbee golf, and of course, music and good times. My second photographer, Tommy Penick, and I had so much fun photographing this truly unique celebration of love, family, and friends. Here are some highlights from the weekend, starting with the rehearsal day and guests arriving (below):

Saturday night ended with music, a bonfire, smores, and more fun!

On Sunday, the wedding day, the ladies gathered at the “big chief” cabin with Jessica from Blush by Wendy Ballance, and the crew at Infusion Hair Salon to get everyone ready.

Nick’s grandfather conducted a beautiful ceremony.

The giant hill allowed for a perfect spot for a big group photo! I was told this is where they take their camp group shots too!
