Welcome to my blog!

My love of photography and story-telling began as early as my first photography class in the 8th Grade (Thanks Mr. Hubbard!). I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2005 with a BA in Photojournalism and have since been working as a photographer in the beautiful city of Asheville, NC. I specialize in photojournalistic wedding coverage and have been an award-winning member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) since 2008.

True to my journalism training, I like to capture the energy and emotions during a wedding day. I am drawn to classic images that tell a story and those that show the love between two people whether it's a father and his daughter, life-long friends, or two people in love. I am inspired by weddings because I see these love-filled moments everywhere I turn my head.

Claire Hudson Bridal Portraits

I’m sooo pleased to be sharing the bridal portraits of the beautiful Claire Hudson today with you. Claire was married to Chaz Rice in Raleigh yesterday at White Memorial Presbyterian Church. It was such an honor to be a part of Claire and Chaz’s special day. They are one of the most adorable couples I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with and they so sincerely care and love each other. Claire made the most beautiful bride (as evident in these photos) and had a glowing smile on her face the entire day. More photos from yesterday will be posted to the blog soon, but for now enjoy these beautiful bridal portraits taken a couple months ago at JC Raulston Arboretum and Fred Fletcher Park in Raleigh.
