Welcome to my blog!

My love of photography and story-telling began as early as my first photography class in the 8th Grade (Thanks Mr. Hubbard!). I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2005 with a BA in Photojournalism and have since been working as a photographer in the beautiful city of Asheville, NC. I specialize in photojournalistic wedding coverage and have been an award-winning member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) since 2008.

True to my journalism training, I like to capture the energy and emotions during a wedding day. I am drawn to classic images that tell a story and those that show the love between two people whether it's a father and his daughter, life-long friends, or two people in love. I am inspired by weddings because I see these love-filled moments everywhere I turn my head.

We’re all over the Blogosphere!

I just wanted to share a couple of links to some real weddings from 2010 that’ve recently been featured. The first is Cassy and Tripper’s wedding last fall at the Farm. Another great 2010 wedding was featured in Real Dream Green Wedding Blog, a blog for green weddings. Claire and Bob met working in the theatre together, where Claire works making beautiful costumes. She put these skills to use and made some truly incredible details for her wedding (which took place last summer at Lake Lure Inn). Below are a few of my favorite images from Claire and Bob’s wedding:
