Welcome to my blog!

My love of photography and story-telling began as early as my first photography class in the 8th Grade (Thanks Mr. Hubbard!). I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2005 with a BA in Photojournalism and have since been working as a photographer in the beautiful city of Asheville, NC. I specialize in photojournalistic wedding coverage and have been an award-winning member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) since 2008.

True to my journalism training, I like to capture the energy and emotions during a wedding day. I am drawn to classic images that tell a story and those that show the love between two people whether it's a father and his daughter, life-long friends, or two people in love. I am inspired by weddings because I see these love-filled moments everywhere I turn my head.

Coming soon on the blog…

I’ve been really busy shooting some really fantastic events lately and can’t wait to share the full stories here, but in the meantime here are a few teasers for you! I currently have three weddings yet to go on the blog, starting with Laurie and Cuyler’s gorgeous July 13 wedding at the Basilica of St. Lawrence (Above). I’ll be posting this one here this week!

Then, this past weekend, Associate photographer (and NC Outer Banks resident) Rachael Hyde joined me for two glorious mountain weddings starting with Cortney and Craig at the Grove Park Inn on Saturday July 27 (below).
