Last Saturday, Aug. 17, I had the honor of photographing this lovely bride’s wedding day at the Lake Lure Inn (also the location for these bridal portraits)! I’m still picking my favorites from an eventful day, but in the meantime, enjoy these photos from our bridal session.
It’s been one of the wettest summers in North Carolina this year and Jessica experienced the elements on both her bridal portrait day AND her wedding day. I have to give her so much credit for just rolling with the punches and making the most of it. She was patient during the bridal portraits and we waited for a window of opportunity to take these shots outside. During some of them, a little rain is still coming down (it’s just not enough to show up in the photos, thankfully) and Jessica didn’t let that cramp her style one bit! The same rang true on the wedding day when the rain came about 15-20 minutes before she was going to walk down the aisle. They had the ceremony outside (guests under umbrellas) and let the rain come down. It was beautiful. More photos from the wedding day soon!
