Welcome to my blog!

My love of photography and story-telling began as early as my first photography class in the 8th Grade (Thanks Mr. Hubbard!). I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 2005 with a BA in Photojournalism and have since been working as a photographer in the beautiful city of Asheville, NC. I specialize in photojournalistic wedding coverage and have been an award-winning member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association (WPJA) since 2008.

True to my journalism training, I like to capture the energy and emotions during a wedding day. I am drawn to classic images that tell a story and those that show the love between two people whether it's a father and his daughter, life-long friends, or two people in love. I am inspired by weddings because I see these love-filled moments everywhere I turn my head.

Elaine and Bob in Greensboro, NC

I’m really excited to share this wedding with you today! Elaine and Bob were married Oct. 13 at the Kress Terrace in Greensboro, NC. The atmosphere here was light-hearted and silly and everyone just had a grand time! I really enjoyed being in a new part of North Carolina (as I’m usually found working in either Asheville or Raleigh) and met some great local vendors as well. Megan of Weddings without Worries did a great job keeping everything running smoothly. Above and Beyond Catering, Happy Tears Video, and A&A Disc Jockey were also just superb to work with! Here are some highlights from this laughter-filled wedding day!
